Healthy breakfast means, foods that contain the proper amount of vitamins, fiber, carbohydrates, protein, fat, antioxidants, and mineral.
Who doesn’t like to have a breakfast which will not only keep you full for the longest time but also gives you enough nutritional value.
Let’s find out some disturbing food items that we usually take for breakfast, which we should not take.
Highly refined food
Sugary food can be tasty to a certain point but it does a lot of harm to our health.
High sugary foods contain a very low amount of protein, so after having breakfast, you will become hungry again. Sugary foods increase the blood sugar level drastically. Everyday consumption of sugary food can cause hypertension as well.
In the market, you will find thousands of sugar-free option food, but you have to be careful because those products are highly refined and not good for your health.
Even foods like granola or jaggery should not be taken for breakfast as well. In the conclusion, we can say, any food that contains sugar, should not be eaten for breakfast.

Regardless of this, if you still want to have pancakes as your breakfast, try making it with whole grains and use nut butter for the topping.
Foods like pancakes and waffles contain a lot of calories, sugar, and salt. It makes this a bad choice for breakfast.
Toast
Toast is most of our’s breakfast since birth. We eat butter and toast every day for breakfast unknowingly that how harmful it is for our health.
White bread is one of the most unhealthy processed food we will find in the market. This includes sugar, calorie, and carbohydrates only.
However, if we replace this with brown bread and fill it with tofu, scrambled egg, chicken breast, or with some veggies, it will become more nutritious. Only then we will be able to have more protein, fiber, vitamins, and a proper amount of calories.

Muffins
It is a myth that muffins are a healthy breakfast choice for all ages people.
This is a huge misconception. Muffins are made of refined white flour, oil, and loads of sugar, offering little in the way of protein or fiber.
One normal size muffin contains around 400 calories. however, if you want to add muffins, then please go with whole grains muffins which are low in sugar.
Muffins contain way too many calories and oil, you should keep away from such breakfast options.
Fruit juice
Many people consider fruit juice as the healthiest option for breakfast. Undoubtedly fruits are amazing when it comes to health. But, you should have fruits in proper time, fruits have high acids. If you have fruits on empty stomach then you will face the gas problem.
Another important thing we must not forget is that fruits contain a lot of sugar which may not require for our body every day.
Although you can have fruits thrice a week. It is a still better option than refined sugar.
Fruit juice can be a healthy drink but you should keep in mind that less is more. Overconsumption of this is not good.
Pastries
This small little thing tastes amazing, that is the only reason most of us like to start our day with pastry.
Pastries have zero nutritional values. Donuts, cinnamon rolls, danishes, and toaster pastries are filled with calories and sugar, these are super unhealthy food one can think of.
You have to have 2-3 pastries to feel full. Even that also can not make you full for long. You will end up hungry before lunchtime.
Including this food only once in a while is ok health-wise, but not more than that.

Breakfast bars
From granola to cereal to oat bars, you will find plenty of options for breakfast bars. Unfortunately, all of them are highly processed and high in sugar.
Except for these items, you can pick whole food items, protein bars.
Processed meat
Processed meat is undoubtedly a famous and mouth-watering breakfast idea. But one should not have it on daily basis as their breakfast.
Ham, bacon, sausages are super unhealthy. They are loaded with salt, which can increase high blood pressure. It is harmful to your heart health.
Red meat or Processed meat is very harmful to health. After a certain age, one should not consume it at all.
Biscuits
Biscuits are that one obvious food that we take every day with tea or coffee.
Some amount of biscuit is ok, but too much of it will bother your health.
Biscuits are filled with refined white flour. This makes us uncomfortably full for long.
It upsets our digestive system as well.
Although if you go for less flavored and fewer quantity biscuits, then it won’t bother you.
Normal biscuits are good for health but high flavored biscuits do harm our bodies.
Smoothies
Smoothies can be awesome and dangerous for breakfast. Depends on how you are having this.
Pre-made smoothies are very harmful, smoothies that contain sugar are harmful. Even if you use too much milk and protein powder, the smoothie will turn out unhealthy. Always remember ‘ less is more.
Rather you can make your smoothie with spinach, fruits, and veggies.
Pre-made smoothies contain high calorie were freshly made smoothies doesn't have that. Always make a fresh smoothie if you want it for breakfast
Fast food
Fast food items are known as junk. Junk can never be good for our body, not for breakfast not for any other meal.
Pasta, noodles, maggie, patties, sausages, artificial fruit juice, and soda comes under fruit juice.These foods are high in sugar, salt, and Ajinomoto which is very harmful to the heart.
We should keep a distance from such foods.
Starting your day with fast food is the worst way to start the day because it will keep you hungry sometimes.
High sugary drinks
High sugary drinks like hot coffee, cold coffee, tea may taste good but will bother with your health in the future. Most of us start our day with a cup of tea.
One cup of tea means 3 tablespoons of sugar, one cup alone contains 150 calories. Coffee includes more calories than tea.
Even sugar-free is not good for health. Consistent consumption of such foods will spike your blood sugar level drastically.
High sugary drinks increase the blood sugar level of your body drastically.
